![]() My own suggestion of underclocking my GPU proved effective and lead to increased stability. You were right (not that I doubted it) - it was all about the GPU. Given all the steps I've included above. Task Manager doesn't detect the game as "not responding". This could be a mobo issue - perhaps something with the PCI-E slots or power circuit within, or something with the PSU - unfortunatelly I don't have any other power suppliers at home (why would I have?).Īll in all, I still think it's too odd and specific to be it. I'm out of leads here, but I still think there's more to this issue than that. ALT+ENTER Will get me back in the game (although after a longer time than usual). GPU: 62~ C degrees full load (30-42 idle)įollowing the FAQ suggestions, and past experience: I am checking with monitor programs and all my main hardware components are running very low, cool temps: I've never experienced this issue with any other game. I deeply appreciate the help, but this just doesn't add up, in my opinion, and here's why:ġ. There's a whole section in the FAQ about it. This is usually caused by underpowering, overheating, bad connectors, or some other hardware problem. This means that the GPU has locked up and afterwards the driver cannot recover it. My GPU is GTX 670, and my screen is an old 1920 x 1200 DELL 24". I can try to roll back into an older driver ,but I am not sure which one and whether it's worth the effort. I am running the latest Nvidia Driver, installed cleanly using DDU software. ![]() Today I had the issue happening 3 times in a 15 minutes. Last night I played over 2-3 hours straight on Full Screen with zero issues. It seems the frozen display issue is not related to Windowed Mode afterall. Thing is, this sometimes happens after 50minutes of gameplay, sometimes after a few minutes. Less than a minute from starting the game - Screen frozen, after about 10 seconds, the audio and game keeps running in the backgroud (I can pause, jump, walk - etc) - but the display is frozen. UPDATE: Issue just happened to me in Borderless Mode! Which is different from fullscreen which goes directly to the hardware to take over the entire monitor. It is essentially the same thing - it still runs in a window, just one that covers the entire screen. Yes, you can try borderless, it is likely that it will work just as stable as windowed. It could even be that in full-screen it can reach higher framerate than in windowed, so it perhaps triggers some problem like overheating or undervoltage. The actual cause is either a driver bug, or some subtle hardware error. (Sorry if this is a strange explanation, but I'm trying to keep it simple.) In windowed mode, the screen presentation is left to the windows compositor, so it can usually be more stable in some problematic corner cases. When running in full-screen mode, the driver does more things "hard core" and is more likely to lock up. Without access to affordable and reliable sources of helium, companies are struggling to keep up with customer needs while maintaining their margins. This lack of availability has resulted in rising costs and delays in production and delivery times. ![]() Without access to sufficient quantities of this rare gas, manufacturers cannot produce high-quality products for hospitals and healthcare professionals. The current state of affairs provides a unique challenge to those involved in the medical device industry due to their need for reliable access to high-quality and cost-effective helium resources. In addition, certain Middle Eastern nations such as Qatar have been experiencing political unrest over recent years, hampered their ability to export large amounts of liquefied natural gas (LNG) used to supply liquid helium worldwide. ![]() For example, US sanctions against Russia’s Gazprom gas company have significantly restricted supplies coming out of Siberia – where much of the world’s natural gas reserves are located – thus creating further disruptions in availability. As a result, companies producing helium could not keep up with demand during this period since there was much less raw material available for them to work with.Īnother major cause of helium shortages is related to politics and geopolitical events worldwide. Many countries have placed limits on industrial activities, resulting in decreased economic activity and fewer goods being produced or sold globally. One of the main reasons for the shortage of helium is attributed to global production cuts caused by COVID-19. When the helium supply is disrupted, medical devices are compromised not only by the impact on semiconductor manufacturing but also in a functional way. As such, any supply disruption can cause delays and contribute to increased costs associated with producing these products. In particular, it plays a major role in the medical device industry, providing coolant for lasers used in surgical procedures or being incorporated into other types of equipment used to diagnose or monitor patients’ conditions. Also, because helium has high thermal conductivity, it conducts heat away effectively, which helps to control the temperature of the silicon during the manufacturing process and makes miniaturization of the semiconductors possible. Helium is a non-renewable ‘inert’ gas that is widely used in manufacturing, especially in semiconductors, because it does not react with other elements. ![]() The company achieved a 17% reduction in Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, compared to 2018 levels, and continued implementing the necessary measures to achieve Scope 1 and 2 net zero emissions in the Upstream by 2030, by investing in emission-reduction technologies and developing low-carbon projects. (Both the Broadway and film versions soften Emile’s status to that of a widower with two offspring, both irresistibly cute little tykes.) Michener’s book explores Joe’s story much more deeply than Nellie’s Rodgers and Hammerstein reverse the emphasis. In one, a Marine lieutenant, Joe Cable (played by John Kerr in the film), falls desperately in love with a Polynesian woman, Liat (France Nuyen), but discovers he cannot bring himself to marry her due to her race in another, Nellie Forbush (Mitzi Gaynor), a navy nurse from Arkansas, falls in love with a French planter, Emile de Becque (Rossano Brazzi), but is then shocked and repelled to discover Emile has a number of mixed-race adult children by Polynesian women. Rodgers and Hammerstein were drawn to two stories in Tales of the South Pacific and turned them into intertwining plotlines. A film adaptation by director Joshua Logan in 1958 brought the show to an even larger audience, cementing South Pacific’s status as one of the greatest musicals ever.
